It is fun to walk on the headlands above Port Gaverne harbor. When you get to the harbor, keep following the road up the hill on the left. Part way up on your left hand side you will see some stairs leading to a path. That path will take you around on top of the cliffs near Port Gaverne harbor.
I heard the screams of divers jumping off the rocks a ways down the cliff into the water. Of course they had wet suits, life jackets, helmets and footwear on.
The path winds around from one headland to the next. Almost always there is a lone strategically put bench at a scenic overlook.
Here are some other nice views from up there.

High cliffs with caves.
Overview of area.
On the walk from Port Isaac to Port Gaverne the views are spectacular. I caught a sea gull posing for me!
I stopped for lunch at the Port Gaverne Hotel. I had to order the fish pie and ginger beer.
It was delicious, apart from the peas in the pie! The fish used was fresh smoked salmon, white fish and tiny prawns. Mashers with a strong British cheddar topped the pie. The greens on top are basil leaves, water cress and broccoli.
I ate outside of the hotel. Here was my view down towards the harbor of Port Gaverne.
A lovely couple sat down beside me at the hotel restaurant. It turns out their son played violin in the St Endellion Festival a while back (before I started playing there). They had been long time friends with the former director of the festival, Richard Hickox. They know our festival pianist, Iain Burnside, and our orchestra leader Gabby Painter. They own a home in Cornwall and another in London. They were celebrating their 44th wedding anniversary that day. They had not made it to any of our concerts this summer, but they have in the past. Pretty small world!
