Lundy Bay Beach

Lundy Bay Beach is just round the corner from Epphaven Cove (coming from Port Quin). It is another amazing small beach hidden away. There were a number of people swimming in the water and lying on the rocks. It is a pretty rocky beach. After scrambling down some rocks, I discovered there was a set of stairs further down the path that helped my descent. Still there were more rocks to climb over on the way down to a narrow sandy strip (seen in the bottom of this photo). The stairs look tiny! Can you see them?

Here are some photos of the beach. Pretty rocky!

Once you get out a ways in the water, then you are "rock free" and can swim.

Here is a shot from the path that shows both Epphaven Cove (closest to you) and Lundy Beach Bay (the next cove over).

That third cove straight ahead with a lot of sand was called a "blow hole" (outside a cave), according to a friend. The only way you can get over there is either swimming or boating. There is no access from the path above on top of the cliffs.

The Lundy Bay Beach is not to be confused with Lundy Island, 41 miles out in the water somewhere around there. Not sure why they have similar names.
